Before and After Photos Oak Cabinets Updated

Oak cabinets are 15 years old and very good quality but homeowners wanted a newer look. So I had them painted in a linen white and then finished with a beautiful esspresso glaze.
They look brand new!

New Surfaces for Counter Tops are forms of Concrete

Decorating & design trade shows and decorative painting schools are featuring the New concrete counter tops. High end design publications feature display ads for this finish. Since I'm in the business of decorative finishing, I study products for all types of surfaces, even though my specialty is primarily on walls, ceilings, woodwork and furniture. There's a whole world out there of new concrete finishes with custom designs and colors for flooring and counter tops. Skill and special training are required to create concrete counters. Some look like beautiful polished stone while others are more matte-like. The trend is growing faster in the southwest and southeast, most likely because of home style and climate.
Concrete custom counters are positioned against granite and granite like counters. I'm still partial to the granite which took awhile to catch on after Corian was the big things. Not sure about the concrete. It's definately a more modern look and that appeals to many people.
